born and raised in istanbul. my father sat me in front of a computer at 6, on windows xp. he was obsessed with technology. the house was full of gadgets. by 9 i was running small tech blogs and twitter accounts. at 11 i was teaching myself frontend from books he kept giving me.
in my early teens it was photography, video, gaming, making content for friends. won a few awards for the photos. started trading cs:go skins at 14, then reselling luxury wear soon after.
at 16 i started a d2c brand. it turned into a media platform i built with two close friends, exited at 19. i've been investing my own money since 17, made a few angel checks and advised some startups along the way.
after the exit i spent six months reading and touching grass, then joined pitchdrive's investment team. a year later i started university, computational business analytics at frankfurt school of finance and management. i run chapter, a fellowship i started last year for young european founders.
i've been lucky with mentors. my father taught me everything about tech and business, my mother about people. the chairman of turkey's largest bank, who's been guiding me for years.
based in frankfurt now. lived in turkey, germany, russia, australia. visited 32 countries. played ice hockey. these days it's the gym and running. i listen to a lot of music, mostly rap and house, to lock in and sometimes to sleep. sometimes i dj in my living room.
